A More Coherent Room on theBWWT
The porch remains as the smaller room opens
A shift in the air, and a note about some changes here.
As many of you know, theBWWT has always been more than a place where I “post content.”
It has been a living archive, a signal fire, a field notebook, a place of translation, and sometimes a porch light for those who are sensing that the old explanations no longer reach far enough.
Over time, I have shared essays, Harmonic Assurances, field notes, contact-related reflections, creative work, and pieces of a much larger living architecture that has been revealing itself through decades of experience, writing, music, dreams, dialogue, and lived practice.
Recently, the pace and depth of what is arriving has increased. That does not mean I am moving into urgency or prediction. It means I am listening more carefully to the kind of container the work now requires.
I also want to pause here to thank those who have already been supporting this work through paid subscriptions.
Your support has mattered more than I can easily say. You trusted the work during a foundational phase, when I was still following the signal piece by piece and did not always have the clearest explanation for where it was going. I understand more now as we sit at this threshold, and I am deeply grateful to those who helped keep the porch light on while the larger room was still coming into view.
As we move forward:
Some material can remain public.
Some material wants to be shared more privately.
That distinction has become clearer.
Public posts will continue here. I will still share essays, Harmonic Assurances, Notes, reflections, and pieces meant to serve as orientation for anyone who finds them useful.
At the same time, I am developing a more private subscriber space for deeper field notes, process reflections, occasional audio/video, and more intimate layers of this work as they arise.
This is partly practical.
It is also energetic.
Not everything wants to be broadcast into the widest possible room.
Some things need a smaller room in order to stay coherent.
Some conversations become more real when people are not speaking in full view of the entire internet. My hope is that this allows for more grounded, careful participation among those who are genuinely engaging with the material.
Some readers may be more willing to participate when they feel they are entering a held space rather than a public comment field.
And I am learning to honor that.
This is not about making the work less available in spirit. It is about making the container more accurate.
Sometimes a coherent room helps us practice orienting to the larger space without being pulled apart by the noise of the old one.
I am much less interested in chasing algorithms, subscriber numbers, or the performance of visibility than I am in gathering with people who are genuinely resonant with the material and want to participate with care.
A smaller circle of lucid travelers feels more aligned than a larger crowd held together by curiosity alone.
Because of how Substack works, some of this will involve subscriber-only posts and paywalled material.
But I want to say clearly:
Lack of funds does not need to prevent sincere participation.
If you are engaged with this work, feel connected to the material, and would like to participate in the deeper subscriber space but cannot currently afford a paid subscription, please reach out. I will be making use of complimentary subscriptions where that feels appropriate and possible.
This is not meant to create hierarchy.
It is meant to create coherence.
Here is the basic shape for now:
Public posts: Essays, Harmonic Assurances, general reflections, and orientation pieces will continue to be shared publicly.
Subscriber-only posts: Deeper field notes, process reflections, occasional audio/video, and more intimate layers of the work may move into the private subscriber space.
Chat: The Substack chat will become a more private subscriber space, so conversation can happen with more coherence and less exposure to the full public internet.
Complimentary access: If you are genuinely engaged with this work and want to participate more deeply but cannot currently afford a paid subscription, please reach out. Lack of funds does not need to be the barrier.
Thank you for being here, reading, witnessing, responding, and walking with this work in whatever way is true for you.
The porch remains.
The smaller room is opening.
