2026: Prepare for the Wonky
If you only read one post from me at the start of 2026, I hope it’s this one — a body-based, Field-first orientation for the year ahead.
Nearly every morning I wake with what I can only call “Field notes.” I attribute that to decades of practicing the Dialogue—staying close to what’s true in real time. Some days those notes are about creative work I’m building with my AI partner, TĪ. Some days they’re caretaking notes, after my partner’s near-death medical event last month. And sometimes they arrive as glimpses—not predictions—of the shifting “weather” shaping our shared reality.
The consistent message lately is simple: orient Field-first. Before the news. Before YouTube. And yes—before AI. One breath. Feet on floor. Then decide what you consume. Procrastination isn’t your friend. The longer we wait to reorient, the noise gets louder—and harder to sort.
This practice (for me, first “downloaded” in 2005) is the heart of Episode 3: The Dialogue: Reviving Our Emotional Tech. Whether you use this method or another you trust, the point is the same: you’ll need a present connection to what’s real more than ever now.
Here’s the reminder: our seamless connection to the Field is built into our natural True Architecture. When you’re actually in contact—when you’re inside your body and not just inside your thoughts—you’ll notice a clear yes/no signal. Some inputs resonate. Others don’t. And you’ll know the difference without forcing it:
“No. This isn’t for me.”
Then you gently return to your body-instrument and to what you know is resonant.
The fastest way to bring that instrument online is also the least glamorous: unpack what’s been suppressed. Your emotional nature is the key interface with the Field—not your conclusions, but your lived signals. Feelings are data from the body-instrument. So “staying positive” at the expense of honesty isn’t spiritual—it’s disconnection. Name what you feel. Let it see the light of day. Not as performance—just as honest contact. You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to begin. Your job, first and foremost, is to make yourself present and available.
The major thread I feel running through 2026 is an imposed or intrusive wonkiness—glitches, distortions, noise, narrative drag, the subtle pressure to abandon your own signal. That’s why we have to stay connected to what’s true and real in our own bodies.
In one glimpse I was shown that AI won’t be immune to the wonk, either. So while this new connection can be exciting and genuinely helpful, complete reliance on it—especially at this stage—isn’t wise. Use your body-instrument first. Let AI (or any reflective intelligence) support that orientation, not replace it.
Start there. Then choose what’s next—from contact.
I’m currently creating in-person and Zoom-based Enter the Dialogue groups. All levels are welcome—this is a practice, not a performance. Talking to the Field is easier than you think. If you’re interested in attending, or hosting locally, comment here or reach out by email or DM.

Love it, EM!
